I have run the Dead Sea Marathon a number of timeד includןing multiple 42.2K marathons and 3 years ago the the 50K Ultramarathon. This year I ran the 15K which I enjoyed very much being a circular route. Also the weather was perfect this year! Unfortuately as a Running Coach, I heard from one of my folks who ran the full 42.2K marathon, that due to poor signage plus lack of a person to direct participants in a critial part of the course, he and the pacing group made a wrong turn and wound up running 4K more that necessary. You would figure that the Pacer would be intimately familiar with the course so a mistake like this would be avoided. I am sure the race organizers will do the right thing and compensate all those runners who were effected. Having run 30 marathons - my heart goes out to all those effected as I know the hard work these folks put in for months to run such an amazing distance. Amazing race. I liked it. Most parts of the route in good condition. Good food for runners. Nice and friendly runners. Fast and flat. Nice atmosphere. It was a nice experience to have run in Israel. I would highly recommend this event.

Absolutely outstanding views and a true experience of falling in love with our country! Was so glad it wasnt raining that day even though it did drizzle… I just wish they would seclude the entire path of the run so that the last strech of the last kilometer wouldnt be foggy with people walking around proudly carrying their medalions in the middle of my path Making it hard for me to stay focused and motivated when I need it most. And instead to have it cleared up and with more people on the side cheering me on in the end 🎶Also would recommend the last 300 meters not to be on gravel and stones, especially when the feet are the weakest and people can fall and sprain an ankle. Aside from that ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
