One of our team had a crash, but the organisation leapt into action. Ambulance sent, and support vehicle for his bike. All fast, friendly and effective. Thanks for a great service in a trying situation.

My virgin Hilly Hundred was incredible. Thankfully, the pre-race correspondence gave specific travel instructions, which meant access to Sparsholt college was seamless. Being met by an army of Marshalls directing cars to parking spaces, and being mindful of pedestrian traffic sim...

My virgin Hilly Hundred was incredible. Thankfully, the pre-race correspondence gave specific travel instructions, which meant access to Sparsholt college was seamless. Being met by an army of Marshalls directing cars to parking spaces, and being mindful of pedestrian traffic simultaneously set the scene for an amazing day of racing. Despite not receiving my pre-race email informing me of my Rider number, registration in the morning was remarkably accommodating, well signposted and quickly handled. I was in and out in less than a minute. The weather held out also, and though the race organisers warned of potholes, there was very little enroute. Every turn was signposted clearly, and the feed station(s), albeit just the one doubling up as 1st & 2nd stop-over, was well stocked, with plenty of encouraging staff to spur me on. My only minor criticism here was the lack of insistance on rider hygiene prior to partaking of the delights, or serving tongues to negate the need. I am certainly hoping to return next year, and have already notified my bike club to consider adding this Sportive to our calendar.

I really enjoyed the event and found the event staff friendly and helpful. Another aid station with about 20k to do would have been great even just a table with some drinks and snacks but the one that was provided was very good and well stocked. Many thanks.

The course was beautiful, scenic and just challenging enough. The staff were very friendly. There could have been a couple more lanes on the sign-in to speed things up - luckily it wasn't too cold or wet. There could have been better warnings as some of the descents ended abruptly at main road give ways. The feed station was very disappointing with no hot drinks and very little savoury or substantial food - just lots of fluffy sugar. The pizza at the end was fabulous!

I'd highly recommend the Challenging Events Hilly 100. I really enjoyed it. A great way to do a 100 miler for fun or if you're training for an event. The communication, signage, aid stations, marshals and staff were all excellent. The other participants were great too. It was nice chatting to different people along the route. Definitely a challenging ride, but fun from start to finish!

This was my first sportive of this scale and I was impressed. Legs are shot, but I enjoyed it. The support team were very helpful and enthusiastic at the start, food stop (twice) and finish, even though I was a late finisher. The facilites and spread at E Stratton were great and a welcome break. Wonderful views and countryside with little traffic and well signed throughout.
