Another great event and will definitely plan to be back next year. A few suggestions: 1. Move feed station to Rte de l’Etacq, before going around headland. One stn half way along main straight near to Le Port and one stn just before start of final climb would be better positions. 2. Have an opportunity to pick up race number from Park run as I’m sure most international runners will be trying to bag park run the day before. 3. Last year there were bottles of fizz available for top 3 in all age groups. That seemed more appropriate than just the winners. 4. Post race ceremony is a lovely touch. Well done with that one! Fantastic overall event experience thank you. 👍👍

Thanks Brian. I appreciate your thoughts around the water stops and will consider them but they need to be risk assessed and looked at in terms of practicalities for runner ease of access. Totally agree with the Park Run and that will be brought in.Age Group prizes are being reviewed for 2027 with a new sponsor coming on board.Post race ceremony will be looked at with the new sponsor. Thank you for your suggestions - food for thought!

Fantastic and well organised event. Great scenic course. Super medal. I participated with an injury this year so much slower than usual but was still made to feel very welcome. Thank you to all the wonderful marshals and thanks Digby for organising another fantastic event!

Course Organisers and Staff were excellent and very helpful. Water and aid statins around the course were also very friendly and helpful. A lot of encouragement was given by the marshals etc. Obviously a small event as such compared to most runs in Uk. However, It was by far the hardest half marathon I've ever done and for that reason, surely it can only grow. If you are a runner and like to think you can challenge your self then this is the one to do. (It was very hot as well) Toilets were very clean, although not that many. Downside for us was there were really no amenities as no where to get a coffee or tea before hand and at the end nothing where you could get anything to eat or drink. No goody bag as well. Again, Staff were incredibly helpful with water etc. Maybe something to look at when it starts to grow. Any form of seating at the end would have been appreciated as well. All that said, really enjoyed it (well finishing) and congratulations should be given to the organisers of the event.

The communication was good, the race was brutal…..very hilly. Another one done. Very disappointed there wasn’t a goody bag but the people were very friendly.

Hi Sarah, very hilly... two hills only...we can add more! What would you like to see in a goody bag apart from medal and tshirt? Please email me and let me know so I can see if it is something we can look at.

Awesome event run by friendly supportive folk. One little suggestion that perhaps a toilet cubicle (or two) to be made available somewhere on the course which is stocked with sanitary wear for ladies? Thank you to everyone who marshalled and, all being well, see you all next year...

Hi Katherine. Thank you for your feedback and as you are the 2nd to have mentioned this I will look to add a toilet on the course. I would look at the 2nd water stop as an ideal location. Sanitary wear can also be included for all toilets.

A really well organised race, with a friendly atmopshere and a course with beautiful views (albeit nasty hills!!). Not the most enjoyable of local Jersey half routes in terms of elevation, however a good one if you're looking for a challenge, especially in the heat! Although I'm very keen on events being environmentally friendly, the move to paper cups over bottles at water stations could be improved somewhat. This was particulraly noticable with the hot weather, meaning water was even more essential for runners! All round, would love to take part again, especially now I know how brutal those hills are!!

Thank you Jess for running and reviewing. I do not apologise for the race taking you on such a stunning route with some elevation to give you some incredible views- 1 real hill and one short one but with two downhills to counteract. I am afraid that moving back to bottles is not an option and this will be a trend with other larger races as time moves on with some insisting you carry your own cup. The waste of plastic and water is phenomenal when bottles are used as most runners only take a sip before throwing, sometimes in hedges miles from the actual stop. I recommend for runners to take on the approach of carrying their own supply, there are so many option available that are comfortable and allow you to drink as and when you need with the water stations then being an add on but not a necessity.

Very well organised and lovely route… despite the big climb at 18km. A multitude of lovely, friendly and supportive marshals throughout the course. Appreciated the new medal as well. Will be back again for the 3rd time next year

I always find it disheartening when i arrive at the finish as a below average runner but within the time frame, and everything's being taken down and the complementary things have either gone or stopped. I got to the finish and there was nothing to eat or anywhere for me to sit down. I also felt as though another water station should have been available with the heat and lack of shade on the 5 mile.

Good afternoon Danyela. Would agree that it was a hot day but feel that a water stop at the beginning of that section, the middle and one just at the top of the hill is a good amount.Four water stops on the route with water available at start and finish. It is important in hot conditions for runners to take time at the water stops to hydrate or even better carry a bottle / pack so you can take on board hydration when you need and not wait till your reach a water station. In terms of the race finish; the end was not dismantled till after 4 hrs. As a race we do not yet have food suppliers at the finish and the grass is our seat; so this aspect was not removed. There was of course a medal and water I assume for you? We have already started to look at 2027 and introducing a food area etc which will address what is currently lacking. I hope this gives you some relief.
