Thanks Brian. I appreciate your thoughts around the water stops and will consider them but they need to be risk assessed and looked at in terms of practicalities for runner ease of access. Totally agree with the Park Run and that will be brought in.Age Group prizes are being reviewed for 2027 with a new sponsor coming on board.Post race ceremony will be looked at with the new sponsor. Thank you for your suggestions - food for thought!

Glenn, great to see you and talk to you after the event. My fault for it being a little hilly in places!Completely agree with the additional amenities and we are already looking at these for 2027...so get the hill training in and come back!

Hi Katherine. Thank you for your feedback and as you are the 2nd to have mentioned this I will look to add a toilet on the course. I would look at the 2nd water stop as an ideal location. Sanitary wear can also be included for all toilets.

Thank you Jess for running and reviewing. I do not apologise for the race taking you on such a stunning route with some elevation to give you some incredible views- 1 real hill and one short one but with two downhills to counteract. I am afraid that moving back to bottles is not an option and this will be a trend with other larger races as time moves on with some insisting you carry your own cup. The waste of plastic and water is phenomenal when bottles are used as most runners only take a sip before throwing, sometimes in hedges miles from the actual stop. I recommend for runners to take on the approach of carrying their own supply, there are so many option available that are comfortable and allow you to drink as and when you need with the water stations then being an add on but not a necessity.

Fantastic! Glad you appreciate the new look medal and the sting in the tail at 18km. The marshals' enthusiasm is always well appreciated by all. See you in 2027!

Good afternoon Danyela. Would agree that it was a hot day but feel that a water stop at the beginning of that section, the middle and one just at the top of the hill is a good amount.Four water stops on the route with water available at start and finish. It is important in hot conditions for runners to take time at the water stops to hydrate or even better carry a bottle / pack so you can take on board hydration when you need and not wait till your reach a water station. In terms of the race finish; the end was not dismantled till after 4 hrs. As a race we do not yet have food suppliers at the finish and the grass is our seat; so this aspect was not removed. There was of course a medal and water I assume for you? We have already started to look at 2027 and introducing a food area etc which will address what is currently lacking. I hope this gives you some relief.
