Unfortunately I took a tumble and injured my knee 2 miles in. The marshals were fantastic communicating with each other as I hobbled back to Newport only to get picked up and delivered safely to the finish! Thanks so much.

This was such a clear labelled route. It was a hot day and there was sufficient water stations with the added bonus of sweets too ! The marshalls were incredible and I felt so supported through out the run. I don't belong to a running club or anything so sometimes can find events daunting but this one felt very welcoming and wholesome. From the marshalls to the other people taking part it had such a lovely feel to it. I enjoyed the multi terrain of the course and the medal is lovely too. Overall a very positive run. Thank you!

Great event my first one so don’t have a lot to compare it too. The styles slowed it down a bit but this was in the course description so can’t complain about them. Look forward to the next one 👍

The 2026 Newport to Ryde 7 miles was a great event with warm weather but not too hot. Having completed the event once before I was familiar with the course which is demanding because of hills and rough terrain, which was hard underfoot at this time of year. The stiles and gates are an added challenge. I found all the organizers / volunteers to be very helpful and knowledgeable . As a senior runner it was also really great to find the younger runners friendly, respectful and communicative. Thanks to the Ryde Harriers coordinators and marshals for the time and care that went into this event.
