This is the fifth time I have run this 10km race. All the arrangements pre-event were excellent. Pre race video and email was very good to be provided with. The course was well marshalled and the closed roads make it an enjoyable road race. Good local support and marshalls are very positive and supportive. Will run this again next year. Loved this event, great route with just enough undulation. The volunteers along the route were fantastic and very engaging and supportive. Easy to pick up number on the day and plenty of parking. Public toilets near the Guildhall were a health hazard (certainly in the ladies) but there were toilets in the car park where we parked thankfully. Loved the medal.

Lovely event. Well marshalled. The water station would benefit from some signage in advance so you know which side of the course to be and it would have been better with a few more people handing out water. Much better not having to wade through a very muddy field at the end - thank you!

Overall it was very good, especially in the poor weather conditions which must be challenging. The volunteers/marshalls were outstanding. The route was very clear and well thought out. Just a couple of niggles. The first one is that some of the closed roads were not clear of traffic. I'm thinking of Jewry Street which had a couple of lorries and cars 'parked' in the middle of the road. It was not obvious which side to pass and whether they were going to remain stationary. Some police presence would have helped enormously but I suppose this is hard to arrange. At other times it wasn't clear whether the whole road was closed or just in one direction, but I think most people used common sense and ran to the left. Secondly, the electronic timing didn't work for me and quite a few others judging by the results table. Although we started well down the pack (more than a minute for me), our gun times and net times were the same which I suspect was because my timing chip was not registered by the start gate. This is one of the main features of the event and I feel this aspect was poor value. I sent an email to the results query email address but no reply yet. One tip for the next event - have a marshall directly after the finish doing 'queue management' (like parkrun does). There was a long queue which nearly reached back to the finish line and it was caused by people queuing for the water and bananas. Everyone was queuing even though many didn't want them. If someone was saying 'keep left if you don't need water/banana' then things would have moved more quickly. Thanks again. Really enjoyed it.

Great event. Would like more warning of photographers so I can pretend im not dying, run a bit faster! The marshals in animal costumes were brilliant, top Marshall was the guy in tbe tunnel with music really lifting our spirits. There was another marshal dancing with music on andover road. A table for the banana, water etc at the end would be good as bending down felt hard
