I really enjoyed running the marathon today. It's 43.5 laps but that suited me because I could get water and gels whenever I wanted them. Plus my supporters could see me twice every lap. There is a slight hill at the end of the loop, but it's probably one of the flattest courses overall that you will find. The surface is good and the bends aren't too tight. Congestion wasn't an issue either. Parking is plentiful and there are good warm showers at the leisure center too. Overall I would recommend if you are looking for a small scale, no hassle marathon.

Multi lap chip timed event. Fast, flat course with definite PB potential. Laps are 1km might sound difficult but it was easy to switch off and run without noticing the repetition. Major plus is that there was a water station every 1km!

This event is outstanding. Friendly, well organised, supportive and perfect for runners of all abilities, distances and speeds. Massive pb potential on this course with zero chance of getting lost. Well stocked aid station full of nibbles. The race director, marshals and timer's cheerful encouragement sustained to the end, and a quality bespoke event medal to finish... oh and sports massage, changing/showering facilities available after always a bonus. Looking forward to doing it again

This was my second time running the Darwin Day event and I will definitely be back again as always this event is organised to a high standard with accurate course measurement with chip timing with a great aid station offering what you need, a countdown of how many laps left on screen and an optional massage after the race. Showers are also available at no extra cost and toilets are available on the side of the track. A must do event for any newcomers wanting to run a 5,10k race or experienced runners wanting a half or full marathon with in my opinion a PB potential.

A fantastic event, well stocked aid station and great support. The medal is amazing and looks fantastic on my medal hanger. The course is flat and fast too! I will definitely attend more events from How Hard Can it be Events.
