Fantastic event, the Marshalls went above and beyond. The route itself at Bedgebury is challenging but great. Such a well organised event. One critic, a gazebo for bag drop off, it was raining hard and my was soaked and knocked into the mud.

Considering how bad the weather had been, and was at times during the race, the course was in good condition. There were two parts on the route which were extremely slippy, but the race director took the appropriate time at the beginning to ensure runners were aware of the locations of these parts, and we were advised on the side to take to be able to avoid problems. There were plenty of marshalls, who stuck it out despite the pouring rain. Thoroughly enjoyable day!

Thanks for the ideas, Laura. It is something we do consider but with the nature of the course and some sections, there could be possible congested sections out on the course then too. With the 10 mile race doing two laps, it is a case of a "happy medium" to find that start point. Also, with the race being so popular and the location of the start/finish, we're more than aware that there will be a lot of people around not running yet. We know of this from the comment about the junior race and it is something we are trying hard to manage and raise awareness. Deffo a consideration going forward and so pleased you still enjoyed it - despite that rain!

Bag drop open to the elements & it was a very wet run! Change of clothes and warm coat all soaked through as bag was soaked. Not great Shame, everything else good

Hi Nick, We're looking into providing better bag drop facilities, albeit perhaps as a gazebo which may be open to some elements. Moving the bags was considered mid race but there wasn't the room for all of them. Plus the fact that people would then not know where they were and would be desperate for their coat or whatever was in the bag. Certainly something we are taking forward.
