A lovely location, the marshalls very supportive a great event to attend and will try to book up for next year. The only thing I would suggest is to get away from plastic cups and change them to a paper based cup or people to bring their own

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review Robert. We are actively looking to reduce our plastic usage, and this can be seen in our comms to runners encouraging everyone to bring their own cup, or even purchase a collapsible reusable cup from our website. All of the signage at our races is secured using reusable cable ties too, which is something perhaps not many people know. As a company, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. For each race, we ensure that all wasted is separated and responsibly disposed of, including recycling the plastic cups. We also actively encourage car sharing amongst runners and staff alike.

Very good race, only critism is there was not enough marshaling of the 100 metres to the finish line. Passers-by, spectators and runners who had finished and were walking back to the car park, kept blocking the way for the runners trying to finish.

Thanks for leaving us a great review, Phil. We were lucky to have several volunteers and marshals for this marshal-heavy event and we're sorry that you encountered these issues - particularly from people who had been in your position not a few minutes before. Please be aware that the 2025 version of the race had significant differences to previous years due to the ongoing works at the Walled Garden area - the start/finish area was in a completely different place. Whilst we aim to cover all bases with our marshal locations, even ensuring that the finishing line was directly off the route for those with two laps to cover, we're sorry that this didn't have the necessary effect. With the race returning to it's normal start/finish area for 2026, this should not be an issue going forward.

Such a wonderful location to run in. Very uplifting to run on the paths amid trees with stunning autumn colours, noticing fungus and other interesting plants. The new route is fine apart from a bottleneck at the start. Organisation is faultless. Kevin Daly provided lively and encouraging commentary at start and finish. I was surprised to find plastic cups were being used at water stations despite pre-race instructions calling for runners to bring their own cups to help reduce carbon footprint. However rubbish was segregated into recyclable/non-recyclable at the finish.

The course was even more challenging than described but you did warn us. The Marshalls were amazing, I'm one of the slower runners but they were still as fresh as when they started and it really does help! The medal is great quality and I did buy the T-shirt. I saw aid stations with only water on one, one had a few cups of coke and there were a few bits on offer at the end with water but not the best aid stations I've seen, albeit completely adequate for a half.
