I completed two laps of HARP24 and had such a fantastic experience. The atmosphere throughout the event was brilliant – welcoming, encouraging and full of community spirit from start to finish. Everyone involved, from the volunteers to the HARP staff, was incredibly friendly, supportive and always happy to help. It really felt like an event where everyone was welcome, regardless of age or ability. It was especially lovely to see so many families and children taking part. The event felt safe, inclusive and well organised, making it a great day out for everyone while supporting such an important cause. I'd definitely recommend taking part and I'm already looking forward to next year!

Amazing, well organized event. Only criticism would be the timing chip giving obscure results. Would also prefer to see solo and team event position results separately.

Epic event, set up of camp was great, aid stations incredible and the volunteers absolutely make the event! Availability of the showers was a nice touch. Lovely tshirt and medal. More hot water urns would be great as we were all on pot noodles and porridge 🤣

Organisation was great, and the extra water and provisions due to the hot weather were outstanding, couldn’t have asked for more. All the marshals on the course were friendly and encouraging. A great event.

HARP24 is a great race with a brilliant community for a meaningful and impactful cause (homless support). Amazing course and support, everything was top-notch. The staff, atmosphere, support and organisation was excellent! Look forward to the race again next year!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding event from start to finish HARP24 was unlike any running event I’ve taken part in, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. This was my first 24-hour endurance event. I travelled to support a friend taking on the solo challenge, while completing my own first overnight ultra. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed and incredibly supportive. It never felt like a race where people were competing against each other. It felt like a community coming together for an amazing cause. The organisers deserve huge credit. Throughout the weekend we experienced thunderstorms, a flooded campsite, an Amber Heat Warning with temperatures approaching 30°C, high humidity and further heavy rain overnight. The HARP team communicated brilliantly, introduced sensible heat safety measures, adapted the course when conditions became slippery and always put runner safety first. The course itself is excellent, with a mix of woodland trails, open fields and enough variety to keep every lap interesting. Running through the night with headtorches before watching the sun rise over the course is an experience I’ll never forget. The volunteers, marshals, medical team and fellow runners were outstanding. There was constant encouragement, plenty of smiles and a real sense that everyone wanted everyone else to succeed. For me, HARP24 wasn’t really about the distance. It was about teamwork, resilience and supporting a charity doing incredible work for people experiencing homelessness. I arrived hoping to help a friend complete his challenge and perhaps run a marathon myself. I left having completed my first overnight ultra and made memories that will stay with me for years. If you’re looking for your first 24-hour event, or simply want to experience one of the friendliest endurance races in the UK, put HARP24 on your list. I’ll definitely be back.

Really good event, with amazing marshalls. Maybe more variety at the end aid station as cheezits are not dairy free or vegan friendly, and this meant I had to access my own crisps at each turn round or carry pretzels the entire 24 hours.
