Overall, a great event. The only slight issue was parking. There was no where suitable for me to park as the car park at the venue was full. I did manage to find a side road to park on but this wasn't ideal. Apart from that, the changing facilities, showers, toilets etc were ...

Overall, a great event. The only slight issue was parking. There was no where suitable for me to park as the car park at the venue was full. I did manage to find a side road to park on but this wasn't ideal. Apart from that, the changing facilities, showers, toilets etc were very good. The event itself was well organised and had a lovely atmosphere.

I love course except the head wind! It seems that it was gun timing not chip which seems a bit poor these days Parking for 10K was crazy - maybe the race starts need staggering whilst the race info said avoid parking on the entry road this was ignored also parking along that...

It seems that it was gun timing not chip which seems a bit poor these days Parking for 10K was crazy - maybe the race starts need staggering whilst the race info said avoid parking on the entry road this was ignored also parking along that road could have been better and more cares could have parked... Or a marshal at the end saying car park full would have saved driving in and then having to exit and force your way along the road - crazy and in reality quite dangerous also lack of toilets - surely some portcabins could be bought in for the event. Also post race links in email and QR code on bid didnt go to results which was a bit poor....

This was my first road race and officially timed 5k. I had a really fun time, the registration process was easy, the marshalls were really encouraging and the route was well marked. My only improvements to suggest are to hire in some portaloos as the queue for the ladies in the building was very long and we nearly missed the start of the race. I saw in other reviews a lot of issues with the parking so perhaps clearer warnings and giving suggestions for alternative transport methods. One of the categories to rate in this review was sustainability which I marked quite low as I feel more effort could be made to be more sustainable - don't give out plastic water bottles, maybe try and find a sponsor to cover costs of non-plastic water bottles etc. Overall though I had a great time and I'm already signed up to the Autumn challenge!!

Even though it was an out and back route, it didn’t feel too busy when the speedies were heading back. The Marshalls were really supportive and kept the momentum going. A well organised event, the people that guided you around the course were great with large signs guiding you where you needed to go, a cyclist was with me throughout the 5K which was good so you had a marker to keep up with so to speak. Everything throughout the day went smooth the only negative point i would have would be to have a baggage drop area but besides that this event was well organised.
