Sometimes a bit of wind but flat and a pretty good surface. No crossing roads; going up and down kerbs; dodging cars or obstacles. I could pretty much get into a pace and maintain it for as long as my fitness allowed it. Two water stations on each lap was great.

Excellent run as per usual , support organsation and medal superb Only negative is the tarmac and roads are starting to break up badly, lots of pot holes. 100% declined since last year, concerned soon someone will hurt themselves

Second time at an ATW event at carver barracks, this time for the 20 mile. Big fan of ATW events, always well organised and good value for money. Course was flat, just a few potholes to be mindful of along the way. Race consisted of 5 laps of around 6km each with 2 water stations at the start and middle of each lap. While a lapped course, there is plenty room to overtake should you need The event maybe lacks the atmosphere of 'big' races which some runners may look for, however it's excellent for marathon training and more than makes up for it with smooth organisation, free photos, friendly staff and volunteers, nicely designed medals and snacks at the end, all for a reasonable price. I noticed that the medals also had braille engraving which is a nice touch from ATW as well! Would highly recommend the event if you have a spring marathon. There's also a 5k/10k race the same day.

Everything was great as per my review. However if you have any control over this, the loose stones/gravel by the potholes at times felt quite dangerous. Especially on the final lap when fatigue was high, it felt like I was an mis step away from rolling an ankle/tripping. The signage helped but perhaps next time the course could be swept for the large loose stones?

First time I've run this course, thought I'd find the laps a bit boring but really enjoyed the mental challenge of running the loops. Really well organised, lots of goodies at the end, great medal, loads of parking and easy to get to and get away from. Would definately recommend as a pre-marathon training race. Was amazing to see the elite runners breezing past as they were competing for the top spots, over all a great Sunday morning run and well worth the entry fee. Well done organisers and thank you to all the volunteers who helped make it happen.

Inter-Counties competition added to the interest of the overall event. Definitely one we would recommend. Neil from Norwich.

Generally a good well organized event. The exception was the 1km out and back section on the runway which was brain numbingly boring! Come on guys can't you do something a bit more interesting!!
