As someone I was chatting to on the tube said the morning of the race, "it's the best bits of the London Marathon while still being fit to enjoy them!". Now I've never done the London Marathon, but I can empathise with what they said.

Very well organised, great atmosphere, fantastic support around the vast majority of the course, very vocal marshalls, and lots of rather bemused looking tourists! I'll assume it is a fast course, as I ran a PB by quite some margin.  Which clearly adds to the appeal!

My only criticisms are that some of the parts of the Hyde Park section can be a little quiet, and that some parts of the course can be quite narrow, which can result in being bottled by other runners who've been optimistic with their times or haven't thought about where they start in their section.  I'm being picky.  I've seen reviews complaining about bag drop & toilets, I arrived just before 8am at the 'race festival' and had no problems making the start with plenty of time to spare.
