This is the last IM branded race in Europe and is in a really pleasant and interesting location. The sea is warm, though in the build up it was a bit rough, though settled down on the morning of the race, and the weather temperature is ideal. Again the weather was unsettled in the build up, but was perfect on the day of the race. 

A highlight for me is the hospitality of the local people, and the great hotels and sports facilities in the area. As well as value for money in 5 star all inclusive hotels in the area.  

The transition is split, which is always a little more challenging, but I thought it ok, the swim is fast and the water warm. The bike course is a mixture of road surfaces, and in places a little dodgy, but I think this will be sorted in future years. I registered about 550m of ascent overall, thus making for a fast course. The run is pan flat.

A highlight is the sports centre /arena for the finish and the overall feel of the event is great.   

Overall a great end of season location, with great facilties, I would recommend it.
