This was my first trail race and I absolutely loved it! It was very well organised with only one minor issue to comment on (if you've read my reviews before, it's my usual!)

Pros

• Well marshalled car parking (lots of it and very close to the start line)
• Well marshalled and signed course (only one arrow sign I spotted which was misleading, pointing the wrong way) - although if you're not used to trail racing, it's easy to forget to look for the arrows!
• Really easy pre-race registration
• One drink stop on the 14k (assume on the 7k too but not sure), and I think two on the 21k. It had water, Coke, cola bottles sweets and Skratch Labs.
• Options of short (7k) medium (14k) or long (21)k.
• Excellent medal (it's a bottle opener!) and free carton of iced coffee and bottle of beer at the end
• Cake and a couple of other stalls at the end (although the cake price was a bit steep in my opinion!)
• The opportunity to test Innov-8 shoes at the race
• Last but definitely not least, the fab Ben Lumley as official photographer (obviously this may not be the case in future years, but hopefully it shows the quality of the photographers they choose)

Cons

• My usual gripe about not enough loos - a couple more would have made a difference to the queue.

That's my one negative point, and I'm like a stuck record with that one, so all in all I think that shows what a great race this was.
