← Ealing Half Marathon

I took part in the Ealing Half this year as part of my fundraising efforts for St Clare Hospice in Harlow. So far this year I have completed 3 half marathons with Ealing being my 4th.

The race packs were sent in the post in good time and the instructions in the race pack were clear.

I decided to drive to Lammas Park and was able to park close to the start with no problems at all.

The event village was well laid out with an efficient baggage area and plenty of toilets.

The start was smooth and we weren't hanging around for too long. The weather was warm so made for a hard run and the course was more undulating than I expected. I did struggle a little. The local support was amazing, probably the best I have seen for a half marathon.

My only negative about the race was that after crossing the finish I received my medal a small bottle of water and half a banana. I missed out on the digestive biscuits at the finish, was frustrating to see lots of runners tucking into chocolate biscuits and I didn't get any. I won't complain too  much though as the profits from Ealing go back to the community.

I would definitely recommend this race & will probably volunteer next year.
