Enjoyed this Half marathon through the Surrey Countryside on closed roads.

I thought the event village was great- plenty of food options and toilets.

The route itself has some hills- especially at mile 12 but it wasn't a secret! I liked the route as it was a single lap. On closed roads so nice and wide and not too busy/ congested. 

There was some local support out on the route- including a chap playing chariots fire! It was great to see the locals involved.

There were plenty of water stations and some had High 5 gels too. These were well manned and were giving out proper bottles of water, so it was easy to drink. The marshalls were excellent and supportive. 

The pacers were brilliant and really helped me to get a PB. 

Loved the pre race build up with a live band and Dame Kelly Holmes. Although we were in waves at the start, there was very little hanging around- we got off to a prompt start, which was really good. 

Overall I thought it was a great race, very well organised.
