You could register online for £7, (on the day registration was £9) for that you were sent your race number & a tech t-shirt. After the event you were given a medal & subway lunch with a veggie, chicken or ham options, also included were crisps, cookie, cereal bars & a drink.
The event village opened at 10:30 & the race started at 12:00. The race village had face painting, bouncy castles & games. There was loads of toilets with no queue! (a 1st for a race)
The race was 5k. I finished in just over 30 minutes & the majority of people finished after me, something that doesn't usual happen. The location of Mote Park, is a lovely location to run if a bit undulating, the 1st km was up a hill but there was a great downhill too. The last 500m there was 2 options straight to the finish or over the inflatables. There was no chip timing or results, but there was a clock on the finish.
At the finish you were given a medal, bottle of water & voucher to collect yoru lunch, which was well organised. People seemed to stay around after the event & have a picnic with their lunches. There was a lovely coffee shop in the park about 100m from the event.
This was a well organised event, with plenty of marshalls, well signed route & a great medal .
