what a lovely race! 

Having completed a fair few runs in London this year, this was a contrast. The number of participants, the route and the support made for a much more peaceful run. 

Highlights: 

the route is very flat and is an 'out and back' - this was great and you certainly feel as you are always getting closer to the finish. Nicer than laps! We had some headwind but we ran in to it on the way out so had the benefit on the return. 

The route itself is lovely by the harbour and nature reserve- you could hear the birds! 

Very friendly- lots of support for each other during the race. 

Ample parking 

Easy registration online, or on the day. 

Good value. 

Other comments: 

other than a couple of marshals and walkers the route is quiet so there isn't any support on the route if you need it. This wasn't an issue for me personally. 

The route came up short on my gps, so although I think I got a pb it didn't register! 

Overall I really enjoyed this race and would consider doing it next year. A great excuse for a weekend away!
