What a brilliant event, well organised and highly enjoyable. I entered this race as a warm up for Manchester marathon later in Spring and this event gave me everything I needed. I can see why it's hard to get a place at this event and why it sells out so quickly. 

The whole process from parking the car to getting to the start was a breeze. Thumbs up to the car parking organisation - it seems the whole town is utilised to help.

I found the baggage drop was quick and efficient and the estimated time pens for the walk to the start line was a great way to ensure the start line was organised in time order.

The race itself was very enjoyable as most of it was out in the countryside. The course was well marshalled and I felt safe during the whole run. Thank you for putting some portaloos on the route, I wouldn't have lasted 20 miles without a wee! 

A great touch was the cheese and tomato roll handed out at the end along with the red hoodie. It was great to see the finish area a sea of red with pleased competitors wearing these unique tops. I reclaimed my baggage easily and quickly and found there was enough water on hand. I felt this event was certainly worth its value and would love to do it again in the future. Well done everyone involved with its organisation!
