A well organised event, lovely swim in the (slightly chilly) North Sea, closed roads for draft legal is always nice, not sure it was overly suitable for a beginner, I was very glad I was off the bike course by the time the men were out (some slower ladies I think were quite intimidated when they were out at the same time) great support from the locals on the course. 3 slightly wiggly laps gave plenty of opportunity to eye up the competition. 1 water station on the run at the end of lap. At the finish there was only water and the biggest disappointment NO MEDAL!! Being a world championship qualifier there was big confusion over the results with print outs not making sense and categories different to the BTF categories, a long wait well into the evening before results were available online.
