Activity Wales and the Long Course Weekend are just amazing.

Tenby was a perfect location and the house we rented was right in the centre of town but 2 mins walk from the end of both the ride and marathon finish. Book early!

The swim was fabulous. Far less daunting that I had been led to expect. Pan flat seas and only a few (very large) Jelly Fish but nothing to worry about (this year anyway).

The Sportive (112 mile ride) was epic but again not as hard as I had been led to believe. Some of the hills are tough for sure and twice up Wisemans and St Brides is tough but certainly doable. The scenery is second to none though for sure.

The Marathon on the 3rd day was in places brutal. Long steep climbs but the best memory for me was passing the start of the Half Marathon in Pembroke and being clapped by hundreds of people (who promptly passed me 10 minutes later) - EPIC.

We travelled with about 15 fellow team members also entered into either the full LCW or various shorter distance events each day and all had a really spectacular time swim bike and running together.

The finale of receiving the 4th medal was also superb. Name called out, lining up along the finish shoot and cheering the winnrrs was the icing onthe cake and certainly not to be missed as it is the closure event of the weekend.

Of course post race celebrations were enjoyed by us all.

Overall an epic event and a great way to race a full distnace with friends and have a really amazing experience.
