PGER 2013 was my first ever half marathon. I chose it as it is fairly local and I knew it was pretty flat.
Lets be honest, its not a pretty course. The bit past the cathedral is nice, but there's a lot of running though housing estates - and thats fine, you know this when you sign up.
Its reasonably well supported - Ive run it twice and both years, people turned out, depite 2013 being howling gale and sideways rain! They ahve some bands on the course too, which is great.
Organisation is fab.
Just the usual gripe - if you are going to give away a free t shirt (that I've paid for in my race fee) can you PLEASE make one that isn't unisex. I see loads of blokes wearing their tshirt - its actually quite nice. NO WAY I can wear mine. Most women would feel the same.
