← Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon
First time doing this run and a last minute choice, it's great that it's on a Saturday unlike most on a Sunday so you can get it done and then enjoy a bit of shopping and a beer after.
The way this is a point to point is great, easy to get to via train start is a 2min walk from station & well sign posted. Breaks between the starting groups seem ideal and even if you are fast you will only get the back markers from that group after about 6-8miles.
1 tricky part is the tunnel it's long and dark no real room to overtake so be prepared to go a bit slower.
The goody bag and tshirt are one of the best I have ever had, rock, gels, medal, tshirt, vouchers. Brilliant.
Will do it again but maybe leave it a year as I am a broken man.
