← Great Newham London Run

This race is very much about running the final 100m on the Olympic track. If you've not been to the Olympic Park, the rest of the route is nice enough but if you've run it before it's pretty familiar.

It's not a 'hilly' route, but it is undulating and will catch you out if, like me, you're not great at pacing! The crowd support is in little pockets so things can get a little quiet at times, but there are a couple of bands along the route too.

Two water stops and a refreshing shower station at around the halfway mark (I think!)

If you've got friends and family watching in the stadium the sprint finish is pretty cool, if you're flying solo you'll still get a shoutout and having your name printed on your race number is a nice touch for some morale boosting moments.

The finish tee is good and you get a few bits in the goody bag. Overall there's nothing particularly wrong with the event, but for me it lacks the kind of atmosphere you get at the London 10000 / British 10k.
