Considering this was the first year of the Wirral ultra it was very well organised and all ran very smoothly. We arrived at registration at 7am to get our numbers.  Race started prompt at 7.30. Great location and free car parking. Nice atmosphere with fellow runners and a few bike riders. 

There were 4 check points through out, all fully stocked with drinks and snacks and friendly supportive marshalls. Ultra Medics were also at every CP which was reassuring even though I didn't need them! 

The route was well marked in places but not so well in others! I've lived on the Wirral my whole life but there were some parts of the route I'd never been to! Luckily I had a good friend with me who knew the way so I didn't get lost and I didn't need to look at my map! 

At £25, this race is excellent value for money. Got a nice water bottle and buff at the end. I would of been happy to pay a bit extra for a tshirt as I do love a race tshirt!! 

There was a good atmosphere at the finish area, although had to go up a flight of steps to cross the timing mat, which after 36.75 miles I could barely do!! Refreshments were provided! 

I would recommend this event and quite possibly do it again if it runs next year (& if there is a tshirt on offer!!)
