It was the 4th time I'd run this event and considering the numbers taking part its an excellent, well managed race.

Pre-race

Received glossy mag/number/chip in the post a few weeks before the race giving all the info on where to be etc.  On arrival at Green Park tube at 9am it was getting busy - only downside as with previous years was the toilet configuration, had to weave through crowds to get to the shorter queues.  Bag drop a breeze and finding your pen was a breeze.

Race

Read some comments regarding bunching (I started middle of blue wave) and was busy for first km and apart from the odd corner I found it just about manageble and was still able to PB by over 5 minutes compared to last years race!  Route was good but prefered the older route along the embankment but hey ho, running along Whitehall and Birdcage walk was enjoyable.  2 water stations at 3/7Kish were well needed given the weather and there was plenty of water to go round.  There was plenty of singers/music along the route and fantastic support from the public which helped you along also.

Plenty of photographers around the course but at £19.95 a photo no thank you!

Post Race

After crossing the line and grabbing a goody bag (medal and tech t-shirt inside, maybe volunteers could present them to you as they do at the Winter Run?) with the usual goodies it was on the reasonably well managed bag collection, thankfully the bags were in order, much better than the other London race in July.  Onto Green park for a change and refreshments and plenty of room to relax if move away from the race village.

Will definitely be back new year.
