I did this race with a friend and enjoyed how different doing a night run was. Perhaps it was made more fun by doing it with a group of women (albeit that I only know one member of the group), I'm not sure how much fun running through the pitch dark would be on your own. And it was pitch dark, which was the idea I guess! I would say definitely not a race to be going for a PB, especially as it was March and some bits were muddy/slippery, and we had a few base over apex experiences (luckily not me!) but nobody hurt more than pride. Overall very good fun.
Pros
-Very well marshalled (needed to be in the dark), with people at each point where you might have gone wrong
-Plenty of car parking, although we did arrive early
-Good food/drink facilities onsite and they were open late for you to get a cuppa when you'd finished (good job, it was freezing!)
-Excellent atmosphere!
Cons
-Not enough toilets. Only the toilets which belonged to the place and no extras meant very long queues especially for the ladies' (as usual)
-Not the best medal - it just has the National Trust logo and the words Night Run on it so it could have been any date and anywhere.
