OK so there were a few issues with this today
Felt like it should have been a pretty fast course but I'd risked running on a ropey knee (bruising from the Tough Mudder last week) and it became painfully obvious that I shouldn't have been running on it by the end of mile 4.
Still, I persevered and I'm glad I did. In spite of the issues above the support from the marshalls, organisers, and other runners really made the event. Helped that it was a sunny day but as you passed the event village a lot of faster runners were still hanging about and offering encouragement and we all got cheered through the final 500m with a warm welcome at the finish line.
Definitely one I'd do again. Just hoping my knee recovers properly in time for the Windsor version next week!
