This was my first time running the Devizes half. The area was easy to find and had easy access with many places to park. There is a childrens park within feet of the start/finish, which was ideal if you want to bring your kids along. They had a local band playing and food outlets.
The race it self was a big success with a couple of hills. Mile 3 hill was slightly tough and mile 12 (which is an slightly uneven woodland path) was a tad difficult also. Most of the race was on country roads, with a couple of cars passing on route. I got my personal best today, which I never thought I would do on this route. So it's a thumbs up for me.
The stewards were helpful and gave lots of encourgement. the water stations were a godsend today, as it was 20 degrees.
The only gripe, is the family run which my wife/children took part in. The run went well and my kids loved it, but the adults werent allowed to recieve a medal, even though they paid entry.
Thanks.
Hi Phil, im sorry this happened, you should have received a medal if you had a race number. Please email info@lpsevents.co.uk and i will post this out to you. Luke - LPS Events Ltd
