First things first. For close parking head for just south of the Cricket ground. Managed to get within a 10 min walk of the Start/Villarge.  A great little Cricket pub on the corner of the round about also seemed too avoid the crowd after the race.

Price and registration was not taken care of by me so no advice there.

The Villarge seemed well orginised, this has been an issue in the past, but everything seemed to work how it should in 2017 both before and after.

Visited the Toilet 15 mins before start was doing the deed within a few mins. perfect.

Small treck to the start, but nothing too bad.

Fairly flat course, one or two bridge sections but nothing to write home about.

Course itself is fairly bland, however local support is good to make up for it.  Do not expect to see much of Manchester. Start on the edge and run outwards.

All in all a bread and butter city Marathon. 

Only real downside being, just Water and Gels at the stations, always nice to have an option of real food for the non gel types and getting the medal in the goody bad was a slight disapointment.  Hanging it over the head is not part of the feeling of "I did it" no??

however T-shirt of good qual. :)
