Thoroughly enjoyed this race. I arrived on Friday afternoon pre-race which wasn't ideal (included me driving 3 hrs from Vienna) but I was able to register easily and look around the expo before it shut. Saturday was busy due to the race brief being at 0900 and then transition opening at 1230. However, I was back in my hotel with my feet up by 1430 so it wasn't too bad. The race itself was great and despite being in waves and having to swim over/round people, i didn't find it too crowded. The bike course was fast as was the run course. Note that I used a TT bike with a disc and had no problems. Plenty of aid stations on both. Plan for the weather to be warm (it was almost a non-wetsuit swim this year) but also plan for rain.
I didn't go to the pasta party or the awards ceremony (despite having trophy to collect ;) ) as I had to travel home. You might want to not travel home on the Monday and use the time to enjoy the beautiful town.
Lastly, I used Nirvana Europe for booking accomodation and found them very helpful. They provided buses to get to race start from my hotel and also bussed me back after. This was soooo helpful.
