I thoroughly enjoyed this race and I believe the rain added to the event. There was plenty of aid stations all with encouraging marshal’s at them. The marshals were very encouraging and I think there was just enough for the course. There was an amazing atmosphere on course, maybe because of the rain or the enthusiasm of the marshals. There was close to no navigation needed as there was enough directional signs on course and the mile/kilometre markers were accurate.
My only slight criticism was that the race briefing was muffled over the tannoy with all of the rain.
The course itself was an out and back along the Tissington Trail, which is very scenic and picturesque. It was value for money, it was very well organised and I would recommend it to anyone.
