← Draycote Water Santa Dash

This is a great way to end the year - a relatively flat 7.8k run around the beautiful Draycote Water in Warwickshire. There were around 400 participants of all abilities - including some fundraising on a hospital bed! - all dressed in the red and white Santa costume.

The event was well organised and the run was safe, well marshalled and easy to follow. You take the lower road around the lake for one lap and that's about it! Ambulances were on hand and the brief was clear with a touch of humour

The event is chip timed and finishers' goody bag was well stocked with a bottle of water and energy drink, protein powder, medal and green tea. You also get to keep the Santa outfit consisting of top, trousers, belt (mine broke!), hat (lost mine!) and beard! Water and mince pie station at the finish line

Paid car parking is available and there were sufficient spaces for everyone. Toilet facilities and cafe on site

All in all, a great end of year event.
