Athens Marathon the Authentic. The Marathon of the Marathons. The history behind this route is so strong! It said that Persians would have conquered the whole Europe if the Athenians didn't run that route to get to Faliro, Athens in order to defend the empty city. 

Can you imagine that?

42km running with full armor weaponry just just after a three hour battle of Marathon. Just to gety early back in the city before ships of Persian fleet that headed South got to disembark their armies to Athens.

Everything in 34th Athens Marathon was very nicely organized. A minor problem with my personanl timing in the finish line was solved in just a few hours but as I said it happend to me only.

The spectators where really amazing and was supporting so much every runner fast or slow.

Aid stations where everywhere so you would never feel insecure.  Food and water stations where fully equiped and volunteers did a really good job there!  I didn't got my own supplies just relied on what was offered by the organizers. And that was ok. Maybe a nice salty choise would be a great addition as I was sweating too much. But I asked the first aid stations for Almora powder electrolyte sackets and they offered me.

I will definately race Athens Marathon again!
