Fantastic experience to run a half marathon through London on a Sunday morning on closed roads. I loved the route and was impressed by the aid stations going around and the support and entertainment.
Race bib was posted out in advance, which I find much easier and better than having to pick up a bib on the day or, even worse, the day before.
I found the pre-race information useful and it was great that we could do bag drops on the day (certain other big races could learn a lot from London Landmarks for bag drops!).
The race route itself was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it though would have been nice to have answers to the trivia questions posed on the route. It was all very well-organised and felt safe.
The medal was fantastic and the goody bag itself was lovely. However, as a short female I was thoroughly unimpressed with the T-shirt as it's definitely not unisex, it's only for men. On me it's more like a dress and looks ridiculous. I saw other women wearing theirs on the day and it didn't even come close to fitting a single one of them. Disappointing that a run in which so many women take part only decides to consider men when it comes to the T-shirt. Sadly still so much sexism in running and I really hope London Landmarks properly celebrates the achievement of female participants in future.
