I have followed Castle Tri series for a couple of years and eagerly awaited this event. After being first in the car park and first at registration a little delay to number collection was OK. Sadly first in transition though placed my bike at the total opposite end for bike out so opted to wait. It was OK but un necessary really. Understand the organisers have a process. The pre race briefing was brilliant - very informative and clear. One of the best this year....

The swim was possibly the roughest of the year for me with several kicks and punches in the face and body. Nice and easy though. Bike course, which I enjoyed, is suitably challenging with a couple of hills and the road surface in places is shocking (Not organisers fault of course). Run course is challenging too and a lot off road (lucky it was dry). The hills are as described in the briefing! 

Amazing finish line experience with fantastic commentry for every finisher from a beautify lady and loads of drinks and refreshments available.

Overall an amazing location, stunning back drop, and challenging course. Wonder if I would return though next year - we shall see.
