← MK Marathon Weekend

I originally booked to do the full marathon but I couldn't fully train due to injury so I dropped to the half.  It was really easy to do this via the online registration system.

The race was described as being a flat course.  It isn't.  It's not massively undulating or hilly but it is not flat.  The first three miles are mostly uphill.

The race was on a mixture of closed/partially closed roads and pathways.  Despite this there were people with headphones on.  No one seemed bothered.

It was an unusually hot day and I don't think that there were enough fluid stops.  They could've been better spaced.  There were no bins and signage saying no rubbish beyond this point just 100 metres past the drink stop.

I don't think that there were many toilets or if there were they weren't sign posted well   I only recall seeing some at the six mile point.

Can't remember the goody bags but the medal and technical top were nice.

Baggage points were easy and car park on roads not too far away were positive points though.
