This is the only event of many that I signed up to that actually took place over 2020. The efforts they took to make that possible were outstanding - staggered starts, etc etc etc.
The downside really was the lack of crowds therefore for obvious pandemic reasons, and the very small 'event village'. But that is entirely outside of the organisers' control. Everything they could achieve, they did.
Very simply, the event went ahead, and if that doesn't deserve gold stars, I'm not sure what does. I would be very, very surprised if they made any money from the event - I'd be inclined to think they made a loss if anything.
I look forward to running this again, improving my time - and more importantly I look forward to running it post-pandemic, to get the full atmosphere they had planned.
