Sub-2 half!!!! I really enjoyed this Hever Castle event. It was my first half marathon race. And I have to say I thought it was very well organised. Especially with the event organisers having to deal with the Covid distancing issues. The registration to event area was smooth and quick. I was a bit nervous about the off-road factor and about how hilly it would be but I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Challenging yes, but not too much. I'm not a pro so I was going to be happy just completing the course with a half decent time but I actually finished in under 2hrs - not expected going into the race I can assure you! - but I felt that I could handle the undulating hills and helped that I knew what I was dealing with on lap two. 
I was a bit gutted about not being able to listen to my tunes but due to multi event nature there was cyclists needing to get past so you did need to have your wits about you. The marshalls were great I thought in letting you know when a cyclist was coming up fast and also giving positive support. I would go again. Thankyou to the event organisers for making my first half marathon a brilliant experience!
