This is the 3rd year i have done this event and this was by far the toughest year! The Yorkshire weather leading up to the event meant the course was extra muddy\boggy this year - even in dry Februarys there is some mud, so this year there was a lot and i mean a lot - makes for very hard going across the hills and there are plenty of hills! so this was not going to be a PB.
But despite the mud, this is a great venue, with stunning scenery - where else do you see a herd of over 100 deer whilst out on your run.

I find the event is well organised, with good communication leading up to the day - its easy to get to by Car (dont know about bus links sorry) with plenty of onsite parking, this year was a little trickier as they didnt want people parking and getting stiuck on muddy fields so they delayed the start of the 10k to spread out the field of entrants.

This year i think the organisers listened to feedback from previous years and provided a much better medal. You also get a free techical Tshirt - if you want one (you pick this up before the start so you can run in it) - at the end you got water (in a can) and a banana.

Will i do it again - yes definetly! Fingers crossed it wont be so muddy\boggy next year.
