If you've only ran flat courses, don't book without checking the elevation profile! This is a tough but beautiful course.  Free shuttlebuses take you to the start, although I did almost get lost making my way from our car park as there were no marshals around there directing people to the buses.

The course itself was well marked and marshalled, very few spectators but the scenery itself keeps you going.

Major issue for me was at the end, I was one of the last ones finishing the half marathon and by the time I got to the finish there were no t-shirts left in my size.  When you enter you give your size, and this is added to your race number.  I had ordered a small, but there were only large or extra large left, so it looked like everyone else had took a smaller size and there was no monitoring of this by the volunteers at the t-shirt stations.  I did eventually get a t-shirt posted out to me, but only after they had offered a 'run-bike-run' one instead!  Not enough of an issue to put me off entering this one again.
