I thought the 2019 Maplegurham 10Mile event was superb.  Its not intended to be a flat road race, so don't be surpriased to see a bit of mud and some hills.  The event is one of those that goes off quietly until event day.  Theres communication but nothing OTT.  The updates via facebook are great.  The event itself is set in the great surroundings of Mapledurham House and Estate.  The route is a great mix of terrains, with some superb woodland and footpaths.  There are few road stretches or crossings but they are very well marshalled.

Route was clear, marshalls all very friendly and helpful.  Aid stations were good.  didn;t use them but there was water - which given the distances was enough.

It was one of those events you just enjoy.  Helped by the great medal and mulled wine and mince pie provided for free at the end!!  

Loved it, will be back and I know I will love it again.
