Brilliantly organised age group racing in the centre of Hamburg all based around the ITU elite races which also include the brilliant to watch team world champs.
Good course with an iconic swim (through the tunnel), quite boring out and back back and then a run through the city to finish, you'll be cheered on by massive and enthusiastic crowds. It's a friendly race.
The only downside is the size of transition and consequent wait to check your bike out when you leave. Not the organisers fault just a by- product of how many people want to do this race.
Good race to do, I enjoyed it and would definitely race it again. Go for the whole weekend and watch the elite races on Saturday afternoon and the Team Worlds on Sunday.
