My first time doing this local trail race. Interestingly this is on a Saturday, rather than the Sunday of many races.

The race takes place from the Foxlake activity centre near Dunbar in East Lothian and is 13k on local trails and paths.

The terrain is pretty flat but very uneven with a lot of tree routes. At the time of running it was also extremely muddy and slippy. There was also some very narrow points which made it difficult to get past other runners.

There was a water and energy drink stop at about 8k but otherwise the race was pretty spartan with no medal, t-shirt or goody bag. There was, however, free tea and coffee at the end of the race.

Overall this was a pretty good, fun and basic winter trail race. If I had one complaint it was that there wasn't nearly enough toilets at the start of the race.
