First up let me declare a bit of bias for this race as it's one of my longstanding favourites with it being the first race I ever took part in.
Having missed the last 3 years becsuse of one thing or another it was ceratinly very good to be back!
A well organised event which is proving to be more popular as it goes on (there were certainly a lot more runners than the last time I took part) and it was good to see it starting back on it's original staring position in front of the Town Hall on Leeds Westgate (with a finish roughly in the same point).
Thoroughly recommended as a potential PB course as it's pancake flat and very quick! A straightforward out and back to Kirkstall Abbey, it's not very spectacular but then again a lot of big city runs are likewise.
Nice medal and tee shirt and plentiful supplies of water/sports drinks for finishers (didn't have medals last time I ran it).
My only gripe would be the slightly chaotic bag reclaim which could have been better and quicker - I'm glad it wasn't raining!
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable morning and now that I proved to myself that I can still run a 10K , I'll be back in 2020
