← Westonbirt House Summer 10k

Another great DB Max event held in and around the stunning surrounds of Westonbirt House.

The race follows a similar course to the Half Marathon I completed back in April, comprising of two laps through the grounds of the house/school and out into the surrounding villages. The race itself is fantastically organised and covered well by Marshals throughout. Crowd support was limited to the grounds of the house, but this isn't surprising given the route. The hardest/most surprising part of the course is the four or five flights of steps up to the finish line... it's incredibly tough on very tired legs and in some cases, could be troublesome to runners. Thankfully I made it to the top of them and grabbed myself a decent 10km PB in the process.

like all DB Max events, I'd not hesitate to recommend this to other runners.
