Very good goody bag, brilliant long sleeved T-shirt and great medal so move than covers the entry fee which isn’t the cheapest - but totally understandable when you realise that all of the course is on closed roads.
Nice mix of city and countryside with a section of the race going into Wales. Lots of local support on route, but some of the country roads are quiet which adds to the mental challenge.
It’s really nice coming back into the city for those last couple of miles with good support. This years start and finish moved at short notice due to the weather, this was dealt with really well with lots of notice and was so well organised that you wouldn’t know it had moved.
Having previously run the metric marathon I actually preferred the road finish with more crowds than the racecourse finish.
