Wow, this was my 30th and perhaps my favourite marathon. 

The set up was fantastic from the registration to the helpers, the fantastic on course marshals everyone involved was helpful, smiling and welcoming .

The ride out to the start gives you 30+ miles of stunning views of the loch. Getting off the coaches into the wild highland weather can be a challenge, be prepared for cold and wet.

Then the race is a beautiful winding route along the loch, its net downhill but there are some serious climbs.

The welcome into each village is brilliant with locals turning out to support, the aid stations are well signposted and stocked with bottled water and alternate stations had gels or electrolyte. 

The finish is brilliant, flat along the river with big crowds and great marshals drawing you in for the last mile.

A great medal, goodybag, a brilliant tshirt and a 2 course meal!!!
