The organisers coped very well with torrential rain in the 24 hours leading up to the event.  Handily, I used the parking that was right next to the race village and free, although being on grass, the wet weather did make me wonder if we would get off after the race! Social media warnings were given about the sodden ground, which meant I was able to put my wellies in the car to wear before the event - they were needed.  The route this year was changed slightly, but somehow measured a couple of hundred metres long. The route itself is mainly on main roads, apart from the section through Wollaton Park, just after the half way stage and support was decent, but not massive. The race village was well-organised and seemed to cope well with the large numbers of people attending.  My major gripe is this is another event that chooses to use Marathon Photos for their race photography and, at £13.99 for digital download of a single photograph, this represents simply awful value for money. Packages of all the photographs are available for £24.99, but when you have 8 photos, taken from pretty much the same spot, that too is not worth the money.  All in all, this is a decent event, but not one I shall be putting on my 'must do' list for 2020.
