The Outlaw Full distance triathlon is a fantastic event. If you're looking to do this distance for the first time or as one of many, this is a great event. Superb organisation, amazing support and volunteers and a great location.

In 2019, the weather gods were against us again! We all made it through the swim, only to be told the Bike had been cancelled due to the heavy rain and extreme flooding across the course. Devastating news but the right one for our safety. The run course was really tough with the heavy rain and making parts of the course flooded and hard on your legs. The support from everyone watching and all the volunteers as always is second to none!

Accomodation - Plenty of hotels or there is camping across the road from the main event location. Just book early!

Location - Set in the national water sports centre at Holme Pierrepoint. Great location for the event, the swim takes place in the rowing lake. This year it was 2 laps with an aussie extit and it worked really well! Note it is a mass start in deep water which can be congested but try and place yourself correctly based on the times. The bike route is really enjoyable, rolling roads and pretty flat. One hill which is short and not very steep at 50 odd miles. Loads of feed stations and food and drinks available. Run course goes around the lake and down the canal embankment on a mix of terrrain. Can be hard going, but lots of feed stations again and support. Finish line is epic! Bright orange carpet and family members can accompany you which makes it really special!

Overall, a top top event and one that will be sure to sell out quickly again next year.
